Just letting everyone know that we seem to be having issues at around 5:20pm for the past to days and i am currently looking into it. CPU load seems to go crazy.

I will keep an eye on it tomorrow at this time.

Alrighty,

I have fixed the username creation to allow "-" and to force disallow of spaces. Now you will get the correct errors.

I will be going through the user database and deleting all the usernames with spaces this weekend.

Next to fix is the SSL Cert for the server.

Hey everyone,

Jeremy has found that the msn transport atm has a bug that consumes alot of bandwidth retrying a connection. Seems its a "feature" with Microsofts new MSN client.

I have patched the server so that will no longer be happening.

I have added a more forumish theme to the forum. I realise the width is kinda thin so i am looking around at other themes to use instead. If you guys have any ideas stick them up on the forum which you can also now create topics ;)

Looks like the PTR has been updated to point to jabber.org.au .

This should resolve the email issue for people signing up.

Just a quick update to let everyone know that the MSN transport is now functioning on jabber.org.au.

Use your service discovery to attache your msn account!

We have just forwarded 443 to the 5222 port so this can now be used if your company only allows 80 and 443 out of their network.

We are still waiting on the PTR records to be fixed to enable emails to be sent to some users.

Please remember usernames cannot have spaces in them or you will not be able to log into jabber.

Come in to lounge@rooms.jabber.org.au to catch up with the admins and meet some new people from all over australia!

There seems to be some issues with sending emails to some accounts.

It looks like we need to setup the reverse lookup for our new ip address's. We have our provider on the case and this should be fixed soon.

If one email address isnt working try another one you have :)
