Our fundemental aim is to offer a local instant messaging solution, that is reliable and doesn't keep you tied down.
We do this by basing our service on the popular Jabber technology, used by millions of people world-wide.
Using our service, not only can you chat to other users on our server, though you can also chat to the millions of overseas Jabber users. This is possible since our server hooks into a world-wide
network containing thousands of Jabber servers, including Google Talk. You can also use iChat with our service, provided you are using the latest version of Mac OS X (Tiger), simply follow the tutorial.
We have also been developing other services to enhance your Jabber experience. The latest of these is the new friend finder, allowing you to search for other Jabber users with similar interests to yourself. This is perfect when you are starting out and
don't know many people on Jabber.
We have forums where you can get help with using Jabber and as a base for the Jabber Australia community. The forums are nicely integrated with our
Jabber server, providing a single login for both. We also provide
Jabber chat rooms with the Multi User Chat (MUC) plugin, so feel
free to join us in the lounge chat room. Finally because we understand that few of your friends are on Jabber
yet, we have added a gateway to the MSN Messenger service.
To access our Jabber server, all you need to do is:
If you need any help then don't forget to ask in the
forums. If you need to reset your Jabber password you can do that too, with the forum reset utility. Though make sure you activate the new password by clicking the link that will be emailed to you.
